In our generation, people especially the young ones tend to forget our native languange and are not aware of some uncommonly used Filipino words. So, let’s have a recap.

1) Awanggan
In English: Infinity
Definition: Unlimited extent of time, space, or quantity.
Use in a sentence: Ang pagmamahal ng Diyos ay awanggan.
2) Balintataw
In English: Pupil (eyes)
Definition: The contractile aperture in the iris of the eye.
Use in a sentence: Sa balintataw lamang ng mga mata nakapapasok ang liwanag ng araw at hindi sa buong mata.
3) Hatinig
In English: Telephone
Definition: An instrument for reproducing sounds at a distance.
Use in a sentence: Sagutin mo ang hatinig, may tumatawag!
4) Pantablay
In English: Charger
Definition: A device for charging storage batteries.
Use in a sentence: Alisin mo sa saksakan ang pantablay pagkatapos mo gamitin.
5) Himaton
In English: Clue
Definition: A piece of evidence that leads one toward the solution of a problem.
Use in a sentence: Bigyan mo naman ako ng himaton, di ko mahulaan ang sinasabi mo.
6) Durungawan
In English: Window
Definition: An opening especially in the wall of a building for admission of light and air that is usually closed by casements or sashes containing transparent material (such as glass) and capable of being opened and shut.
Use in a sentence: Ang harana noong panahon ay ang pagkanta ng lalaki sa labas ng bahay ng kanyang nililigawan habang ang babae ay sumisilip sa durungawan.
7) Kartamuneta
In English: Wallet
Definition: A folding pocketbook with compartments for personal papers and usually unfolded paper money.
Use in a sentence: Walang lamang pera ang aking kartamuneta.
8) Salipapaw
In English: Airplane
Definition: A powered heavier-than-air aircraft with fixed wings from which it derives most of its lift.
Use in a sentence: Nakakakaba ang pagsakay sa salipapaw.
9) Sulatroniko
In English: E-mail
Definition: A means or system for transmitting messages electronically (as between computers on a network).
Use in a sentence: Nagpapadala ako ng sulatroniko sa aking ate noong siya ay nasa Cebu.
10) Kawingan
In English: Hyperlink
Definition: An electronic link providing direct access from one distinctively marked place in a hypertext or hypermedia document to another in the same or a different document.
Use in a sentence: Pindutin mo ang kawingan upang makapunta ka sa susunod na pahina.
